National Space Centre

Conkers
You can go bonkers at conkers! This is an award winning world of adventure in the heart of the National Forest.
Explore 120 acres of adventure with indoor and outdoor play areas and over 100 interactive exhibits – this is just the place to run, jump, climb and get your hands (and feet) dirty! You can try out Canoeing, Archery, Pedal go karts as well as enjoy the indoor attractions as well, so there is something to enjoy whatever the weather.

Twinlakes
All Action! All Weather! All Fun! There are over 50 rides and attractions which all adds up to a great fun family day out. There’s a water park, a farm, adventure play areas and a bird of prey centre.
One or two of the rides will suit older children, but many of the rides and attractions here will suit younger children, making it an ideal visit for those with toddlers and youngsters.

Twycross Zoo
Animals come in all shapes and sizes, from leopards to lemurs, parrots to prairie dogs and tortoises to tarantulas – and you can find them all here! Twycross Zoo cares for around 500 animals of 125 species of bigger animals, including many endangered species, plus hundreds of creepy crawlies too.
This is the ONLY zoo in the UK where you can see all types of great ape – gorilla, orang utan, chimpanzee and bonobo too!

Wheelgate Farm
This is a fun family focused all weather park near Mansfield. There is buckets of fun at Robin Hood’s water park where you can slide the wet and wild water slides, splash through the water fountains and watch out as the bucket tips for a guaranteed drenching, just make sure you pack your swimming essentials!
As well as the water park there is also a farm and plenty of play areas, rides and attractions.
